How do I connect to my studio codec?

Before a connection can be made, you must first obtain the IP address of your studio codec. Please consult your BridgeIT/G3 manual for details on how to get this information from a Tieline codec, or contact your studio engineer. Once you have your codec address:

 

For Report-IT Lite/Live/Pro  2.3 or higher:

  1. When Report-IT is first launched, you will be presented with the Configuration screen. From here touch the Codec option then go to step 2. If you are on the Report Live screen, there is no longer any need to go through the Configuration screen, you can press the blue detail disclosure button in the Codec section of the Screen (when not connected) instead:


  1. Tap Codec and then Codec Address. (When using Report-IT Lite you will be able to go straight to the Codec Address field), you will be able to enter the IP address (or host name) of your studio codec using the on-screen keypad. When using Report-IT Live or Report-IT Live Professional, tap on the Codec item that appears after Contacts.
  2. Navigate back to the Report Live screen once you have entered the address by tapping the navigation buttons in the top left.
  3. If you are returned to the Record a Report or Manage Reports screen, then tap the Activity button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and tap to select Report Live.

  1. Press the Connect button on the Report Live screen:

 

 

For Report-IT 2.2 or lower:

  1. Open the Configuration screen in Report-IT. This will be displayed when Report-IT is first launched after installation or by pressing the Information button in the bottom-right hand corner of the Report Live screen.

  1. Tap Codec.  When using Report-IT Lite, you will be able to enter the IP address (or host name) of your studio codec using the on-screen keypad.
  2. Tap the Configuration button at the top of the screen to return to the Configuration screen.
  3. Tap the Done button in the top left-hand corner of the Configuration screen.
  4. Tap the Activity button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and tap to select Report Live if this screen is not displayed.

  1. Press the Connect button on the Report Live screen:
