What is the maximum duration of a report recording?

When Report-IT Live records audio, it makes use of whatever free memory is available on your iPhone. The maximum duration of a recording is entirely dependant upon how much memory you have available on your iPhone. E.g. if you have an 8GB iPhone and you have used 6GB of memory for your music, photos, or other applications, you only have about 2GB of free space available for recording reports. The memory available for recording is displayed on the Record A Report screen of Report-IT. See also www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/#settings.about

When recording a report, Report-IT uses raw PCM - WAVE format to ensure that the highest quality audio is maintained. Since this format is not compressed, it consumes a large amount of memory. When recording in mono a recording will typically consume about 3.7MB of memory per minute. If you have 2G of memory free, then you could potentially make a recording that is 9 hours and 20 minutes in length.

Please Note. Report-IT Lite does not allow recording a live transmission and offline recording lengths are limited to 1 minute each. This is because Report-IT Lite is a free evaluation tool only.
