Why is PCM-WAVE and AAC-LC not available for live reporting?

The most powerful and valuable feature of Report-IT is its ability to transmit live high quality audio using extremely low bandwidth with very low delay. It does this by employing sophisticated and advanced technologies such as those found in Tieline's range of professional IP audio codecs.

While Tieline's codecs may support PCM-WAVE and AAC-LC, Report-IT does not yet provide these as options for live reporting. This is due to current networking and processing constraints of the iPhone/iPod touch which limit the effectiveness of these formats as a low bandwidth/low delay encoding compared to Report-ITs current offering.
